Using One
Prompts
Save messages you send often as prompts and reuse them in any chat.
A prompt is a saved message you can drop into any chat, such as "Summarize this in three bullet points" or a longer template you use every week.
Create a prompt
- Open Prompts (the notebook icon) from the icons along the edge of the sidebar.
- Select Create Prompt and fill in the Prompt Name.
- Write the prompt in Text. To leave blanks you fill in each time, put a name in double curly braces, such as
{{topic}}. Special variables such as the current date and your name are also available. - Select Create Prompt to save it.
Use a prompt
In the message box, type / and start typing the prompt's name, then pick it from the list. If the prompt has blanks, One shows a form to fill them in; select Submit when you're done.
You can also open Prompts in the side panel and select the prompt.
To send a prompt as soon as you pick it, open Settings, go to Chat, and turn on Send prompts on select. If typing / doesn't open the list, check that the / command is turned on in the same tab, under Commands.
