App settings

Change how the One app for Android looks, how chats are shown, the app's language, your account and the data the app keeps on your phone.

To open the app's settings, open the side menu and tap Settings at the bottom. Settings has four tabs: General, Chat, Account and Data.

Settings in the app apply to the app only. Your theme, language and chat display in the app are separate from your choices on the web.

General

Appearance

Tap Theme & style to change how the app looks:

  • Theme: System default, Light or Dark. The app starts in dark mode.
  • Interface style: Material, the standard Android look, or Liquid Glass, with see-through, glass-like menus and bars. Each has a preview. On older phones, Liquid Glass shows as a simpler blur or a flat see-through surface; the app tells you when that's the case.
  • Accent color: the color used for buttons and highlights across the app. Pick one of the presets, or tap Custom to choose your own.
  • Use wallpaper colors: matches the accent color to your phone's wallpaper. This is on Android 12 and later only.

Language and region

  • Language sets the language of the app's menus and buttons. Choose System default to follow your phone, or one of English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Русский, 中文(简体), 日本語, 한국어 and العربية. It changes the app's own text, not One's answers.
  • Date & time sets how message times and dates are shown, such as Relative ("5m ago") or Absolute, and whether to use a 12-hour or 24-hour clock.

Other settings

  • Layout: Sidebar swipe gesture opens the side menu with a swipe on tablets. See On a tablet.
  • Search: Advanced search adds match case, whole word, regular expressions and filters to the Search screen.
  • About shows the App version, which support may ask for, and has a link to the Privacy policy.

Chat

Display

  • Chat layout chooses how messages are arranged, with a live preview:
    • Thread: every message lined up on the left, with a picture and name.
    • Two-sided chat: your messages on the right, One's on the left.
    • Show bubbles puts each message in a rounded bubble, and Show avatars shows pictures next to messages.
  • Font size: Small, Medium or Large.
  • LaTeX renderer: how math is shown. KaTeX (rendered) shows formatted equations; Plain text (fast) shows the raw source and scrolls faster.

Behavior

  • Auto-scroll during streaming follows the answer as One writes it.
  • Show thinking blocks shows a model's reasoning steps when it has them.
  • Show image descriptions shows the prompt used for an image One made, under the image.
  • Show website icons loads site icons for web search results.
  • Dismiss keyboard after sending hides the keyboard when you send a message.

Header and context

  • Chat header chooses what's shown at the top of a chat: the Conversation title, the Selected model, or Nothing.
  • Context usage chooses where to show how full the conversation is. See How full is the conversation?
  • Attachments chooses whether the app decides how to send each file (Choose for me) or asks you (Ask each time). See Attach files and photos.
  • Starred models chooses whether your favorite models appear at the top of the model selector.

Artifacts

  • Artifact viewer chooses whether an artifact opens as a Bottom sheet that slides up, or Full screen.
  • Render inline shows chosen kinds of artifact, such as Mermaid diagrams, SVG images and HTML pages, right in the chat instead of behind a card.

Presets, forks and speech

  • Presets lists the presets you've saved. See Presets.
  • Fork Behavior, under Advanced, chooses which messages are copied when you fork a conversation.
  • Speech has the settings for dictation and reading answers aloud. See Voice.

Account

  • Profile shows your name, email address and picture.
  • Security has Account (Manage your Denizen Blu account) and Reset password (Change your password). Both open the Denizen Blu website. See Your account in the app.
  • Favorites lists the models and agents you've starred in the model selector, so you can remove them.
  • Sign out signs you out of the app. Your conversations are kept.

Data

Conversations

  • Archived Conversations lists the chats you've archived. Open one, or unarchive or delete it.
  • Shared Links lists the conversations you've shared, so you can update or delete each link. See Share a conversation.
  • Home-screen shortcuts lists the artifacts you've added to your home screen.
  • Clear All Conversations permanently deletes all your conversations, in the app and on the web. This can't be undone.
  • Clear Cache removes images and other temporary files the app has saved on your phone. Your conversations and account aren't affected.
  • Export diagnostic logs saves a log file you can send to support. Clear diagnostic logs deletes it from your phone. See Report a problem.

Background prefetch

Prefetch conversations downloads your recent chats in the background so you can read them offline. See Read chats offline.

Memories

Memories opens what Atma, One's memory, knows about you, the same as the Memories panel on the web. You can add, correct and forget memories, review What Atma learned, turn Learn from my conversations on or off, and export your memories. See Memory.
