Privacy and your data

What One keeps for you, how to delete conversations, memories and shared links, and where to find Denizen Blu's privacy policy.

This page is a short guide to the controls you have in One. The Denizen Blu Privacy Policy is the full and binding description of how Denizen Blu handles your information.

What One keeps

  • Your conversations. Chats are saved to your account so you can come back to them in the sidebar. They stay until you delete them.
  • Files you upload. Files you add to chats are kept in My Files until you delete them. See Files.
  • Memories. If you use memory, One keeps short notes about you and your preferences so it can personalize answers. See Memory.
  • Shared links. If you share a conversation, anyone with the link can see it until you delete the link.

When you delete a conversation, Denizen Blu removes it from its active systems within 30 days. It may stay in backups for a limited time, or longer where the law or security needs require it. The Privacy Policy explains the details.

Some models in One may be run by third-party providers, who receive what you send to that model. Don't send content you aren't willing to have a third-party provider receive. See section 4.3 of the Privacy Policy.

Delete a conversation

  1. In the left sidebar, hover over the conversation. On a touch screen, tap the conversation to open it. In the One mobile app, press and hold it instead.
  2. Open the conversation's menu (⋯) and choose Delete.
  3. Confirm.

Archive hides a conversation from the sidebar without deleting it. Archived conversations are still stored; find them under Archived chats in the account menu.

Delete all conversations

  1. Open the account menu (your name, bottom left) and click Settings.
  2. Choose the Data & Privacy tab.
  3. Under Danger zone, next to Clear all chats, click the button and confirm.

This deletes every conversation in your account and can't be undone.

Chat without saving

Use Temporary Chat for a conversation you don't want kept in your history. Temporary chats don't appear in the sidebar, and One deletes them automatically after 30 days.

To make every new chat temporary, turn on Temporary Chat by default on the Chat tab in Settings.

Manage memory

  • To see, edit or delete what One remembers, open Memories. See Memory.
  • Forgetting a memory stops One from using it, but Atma keeps its history. To have all your memories permanently erased, email support.
  • To stop One from using your saved memories in answers, open Settings, go to Data & Privacy, and turn off Reference saved memories.
  1. Open Settings and choose the Data & Privacy tab.
  2. Next to Shared links, open the list.
  3. Delete any link you no longer want to be public.

Delete your account

To delete your One data, open Settings, choose the Account tab, and select Delete account under Danger zone. This removes your conversations, files and settings in One. It doesn't close your Denizen Blu account or erase your memories, and you can still sign in again afterwards. The One mobile app offers the same option.

To close your Denizen Blu account, have your memories erased, or to ask for a copy of your data, email support@denizenblu.com from the email address on your account. Section 9 of the Privacy Policy describes your rights and how requests are handled.

On this device

One saves a few preferences, such as your theme, in the browser you're using. Signing out doesn't delete your conversations; they're stored with your account, not on your device.
