Getting started

Install One from your browser

Add One to your Mac, Windows PC or Chromebook as an app with its own window, straight from your browser. No download needed.

You don't have to wait for One for desktop to use One like an app. Your browser can install One so it opens in its own window, with its own icon in your Dock, Start menu or taskbar, and no address bar or tabs.

It's the same One as on the web: the same Denizen Blu account, plan and conversations. Nothing is downloaded apart from what your browser normally keeps for the site.

Windows, Mac or Chromebook: Chrome or Edge

  1. Open one.denizenblu.com and sign in.
  2. Select the install icon at the right of the address bar, then Install.
  3. No icon? Open the browser menu instead:
    • Chrome: ⋮ > Cast, save, and share > Install page as app. Name it One and select Install.
    • Edge: ⋯ > Apps > Install this site as an app. Name it One and select Install.

One opens in its own window. To open it later, use One in your Start menu, Dock, Launchpad or Chromebook launcher.

Mac: Safari

  1. Open one.denizenblu.com in Safari and sign in.
  2. Choose File > Add to Dock.
  3. Check that the name is One, then select Add.

One appears in your Dock and in your Applications folder. You need macOS Sonoma or later.

Safari keeps a separate sign-in for apps added to the Dock, so sign in to One once more the first time you open it.

Firefox

Firefox can't install sites as apps. Use Chrome, Edge or Safari to install One, or keep using One in a Firefox tab.

Using the installed app

  • Everything works as on the web. Chats, models, the Jury, files, voice and memory are all the same. See the One guides.
  • Other websites open in your browser. Links in answers that go to other websites open in your normal browser, not in the One window.
  • Updates are automatic. The app always shows the latest version of One, so there's nothing to update.
  • You still need a connection. The app doesn't work offline.

Remove the app

  • Chrome or Edge: open One, then open the menu at the top of its window (⋮ or ⋯) and choose Uninstall One.
  • Safari: drag One from the Applications folder in your home folder (~/Applications) to the Trash. To keep it but take it out of the Dock, right-click it in the Dock and choose Options > Remove from Dock.

Removing the app doesn't delete anything from your account. Your conversations are still there on the web.
